General Parent and Family Communications
Colgate provides regular communications targeted to the parents, family members, or guardians of current 闪电资源网s, such as newsletters, announcements, notable operational changes at the University, emergency communications, and more. This information is initially collected with 闪电资源网s鈥 applications to the University.

Emergency Contact Information
All 闪电资源网s are required to provide emergency contact information for at least one individual who should be contacted in the event of an emergency specifically impacting the 闪电资源网 (e.g. medical emergency). Students may provide multiple emergency contacts.
Students may update their emergency contact information via the Colgate Portal. Students will be required once per year to review and confirm or update their emergency contact information.

Academic Records: Infoshare
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prevents the University from disclosing information about 闪电资源网s鈥 academic records without the consent of the 闪电资源网.
The Infoshare platform allows 闪电资源网s to provide and manage consent for sharing the following academic records with trusted 鈥渄esignees鈥 such as parents and guardians:
- Academic transcript (unofficial)
- Class schedule
- Final grades
- Holds (financial and academic)
- Registration status
