Writing Center, Writing and Rhetoric

As Director of University Writing, I support writing in the Core and across the curriculum more broadly. I host workshops for faculty, curate resources, offer feedback on writing assignment design and pedagogy, and work with departments and programs on curricular writing initiatives.

I previously served as Colgate’s Director of the Writing and Speaking Center from 2006 to 2023 and continue to work closely with faculty and staff of the WSC. I also regularly teach First-Year Seminars and writing courses in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.

My interests include ÉÁµç×ÊÔ´Íøs’ transition from high school to college, generative AI and implications for authorship and writing pedagogy, stylistics and rhetoric, and linguistic justice.
