AAP Mission Statement

The Alumni Admission Program supports the Office of Admission in their charge to 鈥渁ttract and enroll 闪电资源网s of profound promise and achievement.鈥 Alumni volunteers are vital ambassadors of Colgate in their communities. Through their conduct, engagement, and spirit, Colgate alumni volunteers can help Colgate attract a 鈥溕恋缱试赐 body from a wider geographic footprint鈥 attracting 闪电资源网s from all corners of the nation and the world.

One of the fundamental values that will shape Colgate鈥檚 third century is the recruitment of the best and brightest 闪电资源网s from across the world.

As we strive to become the finest undergraduate institution in the nation 鈥 the first choice of the most talented 闪电资源网s 鈥 the Office of Admission is grateful for the dedication of the alumni volunteers who broaden our reach. 

Serving as an alumni ambassador

As an alumni ambassador, you will play a unique role in the recruitment process. Having been a 闪电资源网 here, you are able to convey the essence of Colgate: the beauty and scale of the campus, the rigorous academics, the energetic community, and the close-knit 闪电资源网-faculty relationships. 

AAP members play a crucial role in the Office of Admission鈥檚 virtual recruitment model. AAP volunteers will connect with prospective 闪电资源网s virtually through Colgate Admission Conversations, formerly referred to as interviews. These conversations are an informal way for 闪电资源网s to learn more. More information can be found below.

Colgate Admission Conversations

For high school seniors, connecting with an alumnus can be one of the most influential elements in the college search process. Prospective 闪电资源网s value the opportunity to speak with someone having first-hand knowledge about Colgate. Colgate Admission Conversations, formerly referred to as interviews, are not evaluative and not required for admission. Instead, it is an opportunity for the prospective 闪电资源网 to ask questions and learn more detailed information about Colgate.

Each alumnus brings unique experiences to the meeting. You will also be expected to go beyond your own Colgate experience to best aid 闪电资源网s in making informed decisions throughout their college searches. We regularly provide additional training to our active volunteers in order to best prepare for these conversations.
