While ������Դ��s made their way back from their spring break locations earlier this week, I remained at home due to feeling ill. Even though I have not been on campus much the past few days, I felt like Colgate was still reaching out to me.

For ������Դ��s taking midterm exams this past week, several surprises were able to brighten their busy days. For one, the temperatures rose and the sun greeted everyone who took advantage of the fortuitous weather by studying outside on the quad.

The Manhattan String Quartet arrived on campus this week to perform for and instruct Colgate ������Դ��s and faculty. The quartet offered several classes for ������Դ��s who were interested in learning about the evolution of classical music.

This week started off with a visit from my family. My mom, dad, and little sister, Sophia, drove to spend the day with me on Sunday. It is always nice to reconnect with family when feeling stressed about a mounting workload.

WRCU, the university’s radio station, is the largest ������Դ��-run organization on campus. Managers, producers, and DJs worked hard to get the new semester off the ground this past week. Besides relishing the extraordinarily warm and sunny weather conditions of this winter, ������Դ��s are also enjoying a new addition to our dining hall. This addition is a fully expanded vegetarian/vegan station at Frank. It was introduced this week and the response from ������Դ��s has been extremely positive.

A highlight of this week was definitely the activities fair, which was held in the Hall of Presidents on Thursday. Many ������Դ��s gathered in order to sign up for the numerous clubs and groups Colgate offers.

A new year, and a new semester here at Colgate! Students have arrived back on campus after several weeks of break, and everyone seems rested and ready to take on the new semester.
