More than 125 Colgate faculty, staff, and ÉÁµç×ÊÔ´Íøs cast votes for their preferred piece in the inaugural Art Tank event, the culmination of Professor Elizabeth Marlowe’s new, experiential learning course ARTH/MUSE 254: How (and Why) To Buy a Work of Art.

Professor Elizabeth Marlowe’s ARTH/MUSE 254: How (and Why) To Buy a Work of Art introduces ÉÁµç×ÊÔ´Íøs to the many considerations that shape museum decisions about which works of art to acquire.

The conference will feature Colgate professors Peter Balakian and Kyle Bass as workshop instructors, alongside other distinguished visiting faculty from Hamilton College, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and more.

Engineer, designer, and entrepreneur David Kelley will visit Colgate as the University’s second Clifford Family Innovator in Residence, April 8–10, 2025

Colgate will host Francesca Zambello ’78 as the inaugural Clifford Innovator in Residence in February 2025. Zambello is the artistic director of the Washington National Opera.

Protestant Campus Minister Corey MacPherson has been named University chaplain for a three-year term beginning July 1.

With the receipt of a $20 million gift toward the Colgate Commitment from John K. Hoyns ’76, ÉÁµç×ÊÔ´Íø has raised more than half of the $1 billion goal set for the Campaign for the Third Century.
